Heading Home Event:
Working Group Reconvenes

Heading Home staff gives update on implementing the strategic plan
to make homelessness rare, brief and non-repeating.

Nearly three years ago, community leaders convened a broad-based working group to update a strategic plan to make homelessness rare, brief and non-repeating.

Tina Peterson and Efrat Rosser kicked off July 25 session

On July 25, the working group reconvened to hear a community update on that initiative: Heading Home of South Central Indiana.

The event was kicked off by Tina Peterson, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County, and Efrat Rosser, Bloomington Township Trustee. These two leaders helped spearhead the effort and currently serve on Heading Home’s Advisory Council.

Heading Home staff, Mary Morgan and Tatiana Wheeler, gave updates on work being done to address specific objectives in the strategic plan. They also facilitated a discussion with the group about additional ideas to address housing insecurity in this region.

Heading Home is grateful for the working group’s vision, early involvement and ongoing engagement in this effort to make homelessness rare, brief and non-repeating!
