This award recognizes that Heading Home has mobilized diverse stakeholders around homelessness, amplifying impact through collaboration to make lasting positive change. The award reflects the dedication of our staff, partners, and supporters who work every day to help unhoused individuals and families find stability, housing and hope.

This year marks the inaugural presentation of an award that will forever bear the name of James O’Bannon, a lifelong public servant whose dedication to public health and community helped shape a stronger Bloomington. In his honor, this recognition celebrates those who lead with purpose, collaboration, and a deep commitment to improving the health and well-being of our community.

We are grateful to the Bloomington Health Foundation and the O’Bannon family for this meaningful honor and for their commitment to strengthening our community. Together, we are creating pathways to brighter futures and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
