Focus on Problem-Solving To Address Housing Needs
Heading Home hosts free training in partnership with the National Alliance to End Homelessness.
Heading Home hosted a two-day Housing Problem-Solving Training on March 25-26, facilitated by the National Alliance to End Homelessness. This engaging and informative training brought together community partners, service providers, and stakeholders committed to strengthening our local response to housing instability and homelessness.

Nearly 80 participants explored practical, person-centered strategies designed to prevent and resolve housing crises before they escalate. The training emphasized creative problem-solving, collaboration across systems, and proactive approaches to reducing inflow into homelessness.
The goal of this intensive training, offered free to all service providers in the region, is to create a cultural shift that emphasizes genuine partnerships with unhoused individuals to empower them to overcome their housing crisis.

Attendees left with new tools, shared language, and strengthened connections that will help build a more responsive and effective system of care in our community.
In addition, in the months prior to the training, Heading Home provided NAEH trainers with regional data and policies related to homeless services. NAEH will be making recommendations specific to this region about improvements that can be made to more rapidly move people into housing and keep residents stably housed.
We are grateful to everyone who participated and contributed to meaningful conversations about how we can work together to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-repeating.
