Mayoral Candidate Forum

Heading Home & our partners host March 28 event focused on low-income housing & homelessness.

On Tuesday, March 28, Bloomington’s three mayoral candidates for the May 2 Democratic Primary will gather to answer questions focused on low-income housing and homelessness. This educational event is free and open to the public, with the chance to learn more about each candidate’s position related to housing security.

The candidate forum, hosted by Heading Home and its community partners, begins at 7 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington’s Ferguson Crestmont Club, 1111 West 12th St.

The three candidates are Don Griffin, Susan Sandberg and Kerry Thomson. There are no Republican candidates in the primary.

The winner of the Democratic Primary will advance to the Nov. 7 general election. The four-year term for Bloomington’s next mayor begins Jan. 1, 2024.
